A former AT&T store manager is announcing his intention to challenge incumbent lawmaker David Argall for the Republican nomination for the 29th state senatorial district seat in next spring’s primary.

Eddie Wenrich, 39, of Schuylkill Haven, said he thinks it’s time to retire Argall who has been serving in the General Assembly for almost 40 years – first in the House beginning in 1985 and then the Senate since 2010.

The former AT&T store manager is announcing that he is a candidate for the Republican nomination for the 29th Senate District seat presently held by Sen. David Argall.

“He’s a career politician,” he said. “I’m an outsider. I’m not a politician. I’m not corrupted by the politics.”
